I read in V Magazine n74, The Model Issue, something very interesting. It was a few lines entitled THE NEW VINTAGE. That made me think about Gianni (the article was about the Versace collaboration with H&M). Donatella did it this time. With lots of help she made the new vintage.
With Lady Gaga wearing Versace archives all summer we all knew something was going on. And it was. The collaboration of the decade was sold out before you could say Gianni. It was a hit before being a hit. And with this collaboration, this NEW VINTAGE went every where. It was like Gianni was still alive. Oh! The joy! I wouldn't mind Versace being all about vintage. Going into the archives and bringing every thing with a contemporary twist. If only Versace could keep doing this forever, if Donatella could reinvent her brother vision season after season the house of Versace would never go downhill. But that's just a thought.
