| Lady Gaga by Inez and Vinoodh for Mugler S/S 2012 |
So recently Gaga leaked a couple of remixes of her songs. One of them was the remix of Black Jesus used in the video that she and Nicola Formechetti did for Mugler S/S 2012. Anyway I was listening to the remix, which is way better than the original and I was thinking about what she was saying. Don't fuck with Mugler women, she will eat you. I'm Paris and blah, blah, blah, fashion, blah, blah, Jesus, blah. She spends seven or so minutes brain washing you into thinking the collection is about warriors and shit like that. That the Mugler women is a strong ass bitch. Nothing new here. But then the bitches come down walking one by one on the catwalk and I was like: Gurl, you're not a warrior, you're like a sand lizard. More like a chameleon. And planet Mugler? More like Planet Sahara.

Well I know I'm kind of late talking about this collection but the issue is bigger than the collection itself. The issue is about the lack of Thierry on Mugler. I've been thinking about this for a while and it is sad to see Thierry spirit fading away from Mugler. I know, evolution and shit, and fashion goes on no matter what. But I don't fucking care. Thierry made some wacky amazing shit and when I think about Mugler I don't think about Formichetti, sorry, Sébastien Peigné (poor guy, he doesn't even have a wikipedia page!), creations. I think about the 90's shit. And what an amazing shit that was.
This is getting long... to sum up I'm bored of present Mugler and I would to see more daring stuff. I liked his debut collection but from then on was straight bulshit.

Recentemente a Lady Gaga distribuiu pela internet prendas para os fãs. Mais propriamente remixes antigos que nunca tinham chegado às mãos do povo. Um deles foi o remix da musica Black Jesus usada no vídeo que ela e o Nicola Formichetti fizeram para o desfile da Mugler S/S 2012. Eu estava a ouvir o tal remix que é muito mais interessante que a musica original e estava a pensar no que a rapariga estava para ali a dizer: Don't fuck with Mugler women, she will eat you. I'm Paris and blah, blah, blah, fashion, blah, blah, Jesus, blah. Ela fica sete ou mais minutos a fazer-te uma lavagem cerebral para te levar a pensar que a colecção é sobre guerreiras e cenas assim. Que a mulher Mugler é uma guerreira sanguinária, uma amazona. Até aqui nada de novo. Mas depois as modelos começam a sair uma por uma e a desfilarem e eu fiquei tipo tu não és uma guerreira... és mais um camaleão ou um lagarto do deserto. uma osga pálida. E o planeta Mugler? Mais planeta Sahara.

Bem, eu sei que já é um bocado tarde para vir falar sobre o desfile, mas o foco deste post não é no desfile mas sim na falta de Thierry na Mugler. Já há algum tempo que isto me anda a cozer a cabeça. É triste ver que na Mugler não há quase nada do Thierry. Eu sei essas tretas todas de evolução e temos de andar para a frente mas não me convencem. O Thierry ficou conhecido por fazer coisas do arco da velha, com cada fatiota digna de um travesti milionário. Aquilo era brutal. Quando penso na Mugler, penso no Thierry e não nas criações que o Formichetti, ups, desculpem, que o Sébastien Peigné (coitado, nem tem uma página na wikipedia!) faz.
Isto está a ficar longo, resumindo, estou aborrecido do que a Mugler está a vender e gostava de ver criações mais ousadas. Eu até gostei da primeira colecção que o Formichetti e o Peigné fizeram mas de resto tem sido tudo um grande blah.
