AND SO IT BEGINS

Gryphon O'Shea by Hedi Slimane for Vogue Hommes Japan F/W2012
... The end! Condé Nast has announced that they are taking out of circulations some of their magazines. To be more precise the men's magazines, except GQ. Which means, Vogue Hommes Japan is over.
It's sad. Understandable, but sad. Vogue Hommes Japan was one of the most interesting and creative men's magazines. Let's be honest, there's lot of men's magazines, but only very few are worth they're money. Vogue Hommes Japan was running since 2008 and has issued eight (if I'm not mistaken) issues. Eight wonderful issues. Full of artsy fashion editorials. Being, in my opinion the most relevant Condé Nast's men's magazine, this is sad. Well, let's see what the future brings for Vogue Hommes Japan. This is also a huge wake up call to all magazines. Especially the newcomers. It's not a good day and age to start a magazine fellows, especially a men's magazine.

PS: models.com had a pretty cool restrospective of the magazine. Check it out.
