BORING MILAN

at Prada by Fabien Baron

this is crazy and i like it.
boring Armani, but cute dress though
❤❤❤❤
this is crazy but i like it part 2
Milan fashion week this season was a complete disaster. There was nothing showstopper that made me jump of my seat. I thought about doing this post or not, because it'd be so hard to choose my favorites. I mean, where can I begin?
Giorgio Armani was the same, again. Emporio Armani, was the same, again. And 84 looks? Really? Ain't nobody got time for that. Gucci had a great S/S collection last season. I loved that collection and damn it Frida Giannini went back to what she knows best. This brow-less thing is so boring, it's so last decade. Please stop.
I'm not even going to talk about Dolce and Gabbana. For god sake, please, stop. We get it, you're Sicilian!
Prada was cool but I loved the set more than the clothes. I mean, I really liked it but it was nothing compared to the excitement of last season. Still obsessed with the geisha thing. Versace was a little to spring-ish for my taste, I would have expected more fur. But I guess I can see it rocking some editorials. At least I know Emmanuelle Alt is going to use it. I thought Fendi was funny. You can't go wrong with Karl. But just like I said in the begining, Milan sucked. Bye.

Gucci. Meh/Cute
love the detail, not the look

LET LONDON TEACH YOU ABOUT YOUTH

Edie, Kristen and Saskia backstage at Giles

Kristen making everyone know that the show had started
Kristen making everyone know the show was over

 ⚔⚔⚔⚔

Here come the londoners! Ah! How I like London fashion week! There's nothing more refresing that LFW! It's so cool. When you think of Paris fashion week you think about rich people's dresses and what's going to be Karl Lagerfeld's next runway set. When you think of Milan fashion week you think about a contemporary women who aren't affraid of anything. And NY, we'll it's just too boring. But London it remindes you of youth and modernity and art and shit that is cool!

Giles has been one of my favorite designers from London. I always like his collections. I think they're creative and I would use the shit out of it if I was a stylist. I don't really understand why Londoners don't have a big projection outside, except Burberry.

And he opened AND CLOSED his show with Kristen McMenamy.
Hello? Another legend coming through!

this print is sick
In other news I liked Tom Ford's collection. I know. It was meant to be a disaster but It kind of worked for me in some ways.
The fur, the prints, the Linchenstiend inspiration... It's all too much. But I kind of like it because of that. It's too much, It's so Tom Ford.
It reminded me in some strange way his glory years at Gucci and Saint Laurent. I can see Anna Dello Russo orgasming over these boots! And Carine rocking this in her fashion book.
❤ Boots! Coat! ❤
I'm obsessed with the boots! And the colours!

(this post is going to be huge)

JW Anderson

Simone Rocha. ♥skirt♥

Simone Rocha, JW Anderson!
Ah! Nothing in common! Only marvelous collections!
Zara should start copying more Simone Rocha. I think it's so sweet and awesome! So girlie!

And JW is such a interesting designer. He's menswear show was something from the other world. When the fashion world only thinks of selling and safe collections the boy pulls a creative! And I love it. He's not going to sell any of the pieces and I want to believe that they will be featured in some editorials, but damn, that's setting the bar a little higher!

I'll have to stop otherwise this will never end.

✝WE COME IN PEACE✝

New York fashion week always bores me to death. I'm not going to say that these season everything changed. It didn't. But something happened! I have a love/hate relatioship with Marc Jacobs. And for a few seasons it's been eerrm... hmmm.. aammm.. blah. But I have to be honest and he delivered a really cool collection. It liked pretty much everything about it. I was going to pull my favs for this post, my boys from Proenza Schouler but then Marc hit me in the face with this set and this collection. Bang! And that's that.

Magdalena rocking her faux fur and Maria Borges
I liked the fact the most of the models had nothing to cover their legs. Legs everywhere for winter from Mr. Jacobs. I also like the fur animals (were they real? ew). That hair is kind of everywhere now. I've seen it on previews from Carine's fashion book issue two and in other shows and editorials. Bowie's hair is back, I guess. Also liked the fabric choice. That liquid fabric was stunning. And the set, omg the set, have you seen the set. I really liked the mood. And the set. And Maria Borges was there! OMG! I was so excited when I saw her walking in her fancy Marc Jacobs PJ's!

Sasha

After giving Marc the award for best collection I have to talk about my dear and lovely duo Jack and Lazaro from Proenza Schouler. I am a true PS fan. In all senses. They design a contemporary woman. I'm so sad they don't do menswear. I would love to see that happen.
Sasha opened the fucking show? What about that? That was unexpected! But awesome. It's always awesome to see queen Sasha strutting her way through the catwalk. ❤❤❤

And the feathery skirts? Oh damn jesus it's a fiyah! Loved them. ❤
cool dress

Then, in second place we have the great, the amazing, the fascinating Proenza Schouler. Ugh. It was so good. It's like I can always count on them to make NYFW good. This season they brought their A-game, as usual, and created something so cool! And what about Sasha opening the show? Say whaaaat? Yap. It happened. As usual I love the structure of the clothes, the colours, the casting, the hair, the shoes, the make up, and those mother fucking feather skirts. Everything was on the right place. Once again I'm clapping for Proenza!

ODE TO BEAUTY

There's fashion and then there's pure beauty. The two of them can be one, together. That's the case of Rick Owens. Everything about him its just true perfection.
His last womenswear show was, obviously, insanely amazing. I'm a sucker for Owens work since I started to get interested in fashion. There's no way you cannot like what he does. It's just so poetic and beautiful but at the same time so hard and cold.
I could go on and on referencing everything but I just don't care. I love those knots!
I know I said I wouldn't post anything about fashion week anymore but fuck that. This is too beautiful to go unsaid. Here it is. Rick Owens fall/winter 2013-2014. Enjoy.

FASHION COMMA

Dior haute couture by Raf Simons Spring 2013

I was really excited to see Raf Simons second take on haute couture. And it's complicated. I do like it. I really do. But it's not evolving the way I wanted him to. This show is a continuation of his last couture show. And I get how he is mixing haute couture with ready to wear but it's just not right. The lines between rtw and hc at Dior are getting too thin, too blurred. I love his aesthetic but can he move from his rigid minimalistic style and create something epic? I mean, more epic? When I hear that fashion is in a creative comma and look at collections I have to agree. Raf's couture shows were very similar. And after one season I want to see something new. Otherwise it gets boring.

Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane fall/winter 2013
Others disaventurous are Hedi Slimane's menswear collection. I mean, there's no words. It's just a big, fat LAWL. What can I say? I had a feeling that he wouldn't do Saint Laurent justice and I hate to say it (NOT!), I was right. Take a look at his menswear collection. It's just so sad. It looks like GAP and ZARA from five years ago. It's sad. I miss Stefano.

DISARMED

Milla Jovovich by Inez and Vinoodh for Vogue Paris Feb 2013
Emmanuelle Alt is going the extra mile to clean Carine's reputation and imagery from Vogue Paris. It's clear that she's killing the magazine issue by issue. This time she had Milla Jovovich going resident evil high fashion through New York killing everyone and everything. It's so bad I just can't look. How can an amazing visionary magazine become so bad in so little time? It's just not right. Carine made me not only buy Vogue Paris but collect them. They were a font of inspiration! And now all we get is this. Black Milla killing everyone with her bare hands. I mean, in one picture it would have been fun but in the whole editorial? Please... someone fire Emmanuelle Alt fast.

CORPSE BRIDE

Giorgio Armani is dead. Or in a heavy coma and his team has recreated over and over again the same designs season after season. That is the only explination. I've been thinking about this for a while and it bothers me that no one says anything about it. His collections are always the same. Over and over again. It's like the Valentino nightmare all over again. At least Valentino is cuter than this. This shapes, the space, everything about it is so boring and dated. It's been like this for ages. I just can't stand it. I haven't been excited about an Armani show in decades. It's such a pitty he's such a great designer. Or maybe it was. His really old, go live your life in style and put someone new on your place. His haute couture collections are cool but it's the same as his ready to wear. Boring! Always the same! And what about Emporio Armani? Can you tell me what's the difference beetween Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani? I just can't see it anymore. Above are looks from different seasons from Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani, if you can tell them apart you win.

NEWS FROM THE WORLD

Sky Ferreira by Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent Pre Fall Lookbook
I will always have a special place in my heart for Hedi Slimane's photography. I will forever be in love with what he's in love. I love Sky, I love Hedi's pictures. I'm just going to say this (maybe I'm going to swallow my words after his next collection): Hedi Slimane at YSL was not a good choice. The brand is dying. It was dying with Pilati and it's dying with Slimane. It's just too cool for school. And I get it, that's Hedi's style, but this is fucking Yves Saint Laurent legacy! Pilati's designs were boring but at least they respected the history and made sense. Now this? Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but this is not the concept of Saint Laurent. It's not enough watching Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli destroy Valentino I still need to live through Hedi Slimane recreating Saint Laurent. So I'm forever stuck in love/hate limbo. I love the pictures, I love Sky, I love the clothes but I hate what he's doing to Saint Laurent. I just want to hate it but I can't.
Another interesting topic is that the look books season after season are starting to look like editorials. And editorials are starting to look like look books. Is it really necessary? I don't really care. I kind of like the idea of making it more than a look book. It's not as easy to see the clothes but who cares... Anyway, this is getting huge. Ok, bye.

BARBIE & KEN GO PARTY

Daria Werbowy with Edward Wilding and Veit Couturier by Mert & Marcus for Versace S/S 2013

Hi Barbie
Hi Ken!
Do you wanna go for a ride?
Sure Ken!
Jump In...

... And then they arrived. With their Versace clothes looking flaw free and super glamorous. They arrived at Agrabah and started partying with Aladdin and Jasmine till dawn. That's what is all about. A Versace girl will always be fun. Will always be at a party and will always, I mean, always be with two or more sexy gladiators next to her.
I really like this picture. All of them. I don't care that is photoshoped to the bone, who cares? Life in plastic is fantastic! Who's more plastic than Donatella herself? And she's amazing. Gosh how I love super models whiping hair surronded by sexy male models half naked. I'll always be easy for Versace, what can I do? People who don't like Versace? You can't blame 'em, they ain't never seen Versace sofas.

☯IT'S SPRING☯

Anna Martynova, Daiane Conterato, Marie Piovesan and Daria Strokous for Dior by Raf Simons by Willy Vanderperre
Putt your eyes on this! This, everyone, is the face of change. The face of the future. At least for now. Raf Simons' first campaign for Dior is here and it is so fresh! It's fucking spring! It's white and wind blows from every direction. This a tremendous change from the last campaign by Galliano (long live!). Aren't you in awe by all this freshness? I fucking am. I loved how the set of the runway was the set of the campaign.

Stella Tennant, Ondria Hardin, Yumi Lambert by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel S/S 2013
And what about Chanel? Uncle Karl surprised me. I was getting bored of his campaigns. They were becoming so dull. And there's nothing worst than dull. I love the theme of it all. It's so fresh as well, so spring-ish. I would never expect a picture like this from Chanel. It's kind of Miu Miu-ish. But it's cool. Check it out above.
